whiskey chocolate sauce

2/3 cups whipping / single cream
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
170g / 6oz dark chocolate, chopped
1 tablespoon whiskey (or to taste)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine cream and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves and cream just starts to boil.
Remove from heat. Add chocolate and stir until smooth.
Stir in whiskey and vanilla.
